This Tour is £150 for a half day and £275 for a full day. The Glasgow Walking Tour can accommodate up to five people.
Of all Scotland’s cities it is Glasgow which fascinates the most. From Mediaeval village to industrial powerhouse followed by decline and regeneration, the story is remarkable, and one I love to tell.
Spend half a day getting under the skin of Glasgow’s City Centre and East End with a walking tour. To get the full experience, extend this to a full day and visit the West End before returning to the City Centre.
We will meet at The Duke of Wellington Statue outside the Gallery of Modern Art at 09:30 to start a leisurely walk around the bustling streets. We will pick out iconic street art, as well as the historic buildings of Scotland’s largest city. We will stop by the River Clyde and find quiet among the bustle before making our way to the Medieval heart of the city, and finishing the morning off by visiting Merchant City, learning of Glasgow’s status as Second City of The British Empire.
If you decide to extend the tour, we will visit the leafy West End, taking in the University area, Kelvingrove Museum, buzzy Finnieston and returning back to the City Centre for around 17:00.
We can arrange transport to and from Glasgow for you, but please note this will incur a surcharge, to be agreed in advance.
