12 Days of Blogmas: Day Four - This is my story…
It's hard to believe that six months have passed since I made the decision to change my career and lifestyle. As I've shared my story with others, I knew that I wanted to create a unique and stylish representation of my journey. A simple blog post or blurb wasn't going to cut it. Then I came across the Go Tweed Valley destination video, and was immediately drawn to the dynamic visual storytelling and authentic tone. To my delight, I discovered that the video was created by a local man, Tom Hamilton of TCH Creative. Tom’s also a farmers son and divides his time between creating videos and milking coos.
Working with Tom was a joy from start to finish. After meeting for coffee, I shared my story and business goals, and he quickly came back with a script that required no revisions - he had utterly captured my voice. Together, we selected filming locations, a narrative and set a date. Due to scheduling, the date shifted, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise, as we were presented with a near-perfect autumn day for filming.
I am incredibly proud of the final product, which will serve as the welcome on my website for years to come. I can't speak highly enough of Tom's talent and professionalism – he truly is a master of his craft. It's clear to me that video is a powerful storytelling tool, and Tom's work exemplifies why.
